One of the primary ways of shaping the behavioural lifestyle of the young people during this era of HIV and AIDS is to establish their HIV status. 

PSH boasts 4 non-medical sites within 3 Sub Districts of the Western Cape, i.e. Khayelitsha, Beaufort West, and Kraaifontein and 1 Sub District of the Eastern Cape, i.e. Burgersdorp. These sites are all manned by Professional Nurses and Youth Lay Counsellors to provide HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) to the larger communities with biasness towards youth. 

Our services at these district sites include screening for high blood pressure, diabetes, sexual transmitted infections (STIs), Tuberculosis (TB) and testing for pregnancy. We also conduct community outreaches as part of our strategy to bring HCT to the doorsteps of the communities.

Our HCT services are considered one of the best in the Western Cape; therefore PSH will expand these services to other provinces in South Africa in 2014.
