Graphic Designer and Videographer
JOB PURPOSE
The Graphic Designer, Videographer and Photographer interprets the response as needed for PSH projects to convey printed and digital messages to communities and targeted audiences PSH is trying to reach. Using digital software to create visuals that will captivate and inspire the target audiences in PSH projects. This post plays a crucial part in the PSH Communications Unit to ensure that the messages and marketing of PSH is effectively communicated.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Using digital software to create visuals of the brief and/or concept note based on PSH’s needs and vision.
-
Keeping budget, time and production constraints in mind.
-
Preparing mock-ups and presenting it to the Communications Manager, Project Managers and Programme Manager before deciding on a final design/concept.

Editing proofs to the projects’ specifications and getting approval before finalising artwork.
-
Working and collaborating with PSH’s Programme Manager and other internal management structures.
-
Adapting and rolling out approved concepts as requested for each project.

Adhering to a PSH’s brand identity and different funders' guidelines.

Communicating with internal and external stakeholders about the progress of projects and any other matters that may arise.

Making sure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format, sizes and colour codes before being sent to press and production facilities.

Work on multiple briefs and/or concept notes at the same time.

Perform additional and ad-hoc tasks that are required in the organisation from time to time.

Endorsing the organisation through actively participating in discussions on PSH’s social media platforms and “liking” new posts.

Submit monthly and interim reports to the Communications Manager.

Attend regular meetings with the Communications Manager and CEO when requested.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
-
Grade 12.
-
Tertiary qualification such as National Diploma/Degree in Graphic Art /Design or any related creative field.
-
Formal training/certification in the use of Adobe’s Creative Cloud will be advantages (i.e. Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Premiere Rush, After Effects, etc.).

Computer literate in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

Experience in Sexual and Reproductive and Health Rights (SRHR) field is non-negotiable.

Good organisational and administration skills.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as the primary language.

Ability to manage multiple targets and priorities and develop own goals.

Good leadership skills.
-
Valid driver’s license.
