of Empowering Communities on SRHR, especially Adolescents and Youth
PSH Radio is an internet based talk-radio station that features interviews and discussions on Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (A&YSRHR) topical issues across Africa. The radio station also flight documentaries and magazine programmes that are of interest to young people. Listener participation are encouraged through telephonic “call-ins” and WhatsApp calls and messages to the radio hosts.
There are live interviews with popular youth music between segments. PSH Radio adopted a “liberal talk” tone of voice and uses the broadcasting platform as an advocacy and communication tool for adolescent and young people’s SRHR agenda.
PSH Radio soft launched
Partners in Sexual Health proudly soft launched the first Online Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Radio Station, appropriately called PSH Radio. As an online voice for the plight of young people in Africa on SRHR issues, the radio station can also be accessed from anywhere in the world. In her address to guests at the launch PSH’s CEO,
Patsy De Lora made it clear that PSH Radio is a radio station ‘for the youth by the youth’. Mrs. De Lora concluded her address by thanking all the stakeholders involved with a special thank you to AmplifyChange for their funding and support to bring this ground-breaking initiative to life.
