OUTReach Africa’s Annual Cape Town Pride Festival

PSH and the Siyakwazi Youth Network attended and supported OUTReach Africa’s Annual Cape Town Pride Festival on 03 March 2018.

Pride provides a platform for every part of Cape Town’s LGBTIQA+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex, non-binary, asexual, polysexual, genderqueer and gender variant people) to raise awareness of LGBTIQA+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing. The annual Parade through the heart of the Cape Town CBD gave them a chance to be visible and speak loudly to the rest of the city about what they have achieved, how far they have come and what is still needed.
