PSH commemorated Youth Day 2018 with a range of exciting and educational events around the country.

PSH Khayelitsha and other stakeholders participated at a Sports Day at the Site-C Sports Complex and also offered a range of testing, screening and wellness services including HIV testing services (HTS), CDM screening (blood pressure, blood glucose), Body Mass Index (BMI), TB symptoms screening, Condom distribution, etc.
PSH Colesberg discussed topics which included the Soweto Uprising in 1976; and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) topics on Teenage Pregnancy in the community and Condom Use. Also in attendance was PSH Colesberg’s ‘adopted’ children who lives in poor circumstances but weathered the cold day to perform a lovely song item.
Siyakwazi Member, Bongekile Mabanfa, celebrated Youth Day at a Mini Sports Day in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
PSH Bloemfontein represented the Siyakwazi Youth Network on Youth Day at a Sports Event. They enjoyed a game of soccer but also found the time to distribute condoms and pamphlets.
PSH Beaufort West, in partnership with Molo Songololo, facilitated a session on “Protecting the Rights of All Children” as part of our Youth Day Commemoration events at the Thusong Conference Centre in Beaufort West.
PSH Burgersdorp facilitated a Youth Camp to celebrate Youth Month and empower young people with Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) capacity building sessions on Relationships; Different Types of Abuses; Alcohol & Substance Abuse and Contraceptives. Forty young people from different townships in and around Burgersdorp attended the youth camp and left with a wealth of knowledge to affect positive changes in their own lives and their communities.
